Admire the Iconic Japanese Covered Bridge

No visit to Hoi An is complete without seeing the Japanese Covered Bridge (Chùa Cầu), the town's most famous landmark. Built in the early 17th century by the Japanese community to connect with the Chinese quarter, this ornate wooden bridge features a small temple inside, dedicated to the northern god Tran Vo Bac De, believed to control the weather.

The bridge is a beautiful example of Japanese architecture and serves as a historical symbol of Hoi An. It's a popular spot for photos and represents the rich cultural fusion that defines the Ancient Town. Access to walk across the bridge usually requires the Hoi An Ancient Town entrance ticket.
