Venture deeper into the delta to Chau Doc, a town near the Cambodian border in An Giang province. A major Chau Doc attraction is Sam Mountain, a prominent peak offering panoramic views over the surrounding flat plains and rice fields, stretching towards Cambodia. The mountain is also a significant spiritual site.

At the foot and on the slopes of Sam Mountain Chau Doc, you'll find numerous temples and pagodas, most notably the revered Ba Chua Xu Temple (Lady Xu Temple), a major pilgrimage site, and the historic Tay An Pagoda.
