Majestic Paradise Cave (Thien Duong Cave)

Prepare to be utterly awe-struck by the sheer scale and breathtaking beauty of Paradise Cave (Thien Duong Cave), widely considered one of the most magnificent and visually stunning dry caves in the entire Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. Discovered relatively recently (in 2005) and opened to the public shortly after, this colossal cavern stretches for over 31 kilometers, though visitors typically explore the spectacular first kilometer via an impressive walkway system. Its discovery further cemented Phong Nha's status as a world-class cave destination.

The journey to Paradise Cave involves a short ride via electric golf buggy through the park's buffer zone forest, followed by a moderate climb up steps to the cave's unassuming entrance high on a karst outcrop. However, stepping inside reveals a subterranean world of immense proportions. An extensive, well-lit wooden boardwalk allows easy navigation through the vast chamber, showcasing an incredible density and variety of spectacular stalactites, stalagmites, towering columns, glassy flowstones, and delicate rimstone pools, all formed over millions of years.

Paradise Cave offers an accessible way for visitors of most fitness levels to experience the grandeur of Phong Nha's underground world without needing to swim or climb within the cave. Its sheer beauty, cathedral-like dimensions, and the incredible array of formations make it a must-visit highlight for anyone travelling to the region. Allow plenty of time to walk the boardwalk slowly and marvel at the subterranean artistry sculpted by nature.
