See the Iconic Bamboo Water Wheels

Discover one of the most unique and picturesque features of the Pu Luong landscape: the giant bamboo water wheels. These ingenious, traditional structures are used by the local Thai and Muong people to irrigate their rice paddies, scooping water from streams and lifting it via bamboo aqueducts onto the fields above.

You can find these impressive Pu Luong water wheels operating along various streams throughout the reserve, such as the Cham River. Watching them turn slowly and rhythmically is a fascinating sight and offers great photo opportunities, symbolizing the harmony between local people and nature.
