Phu Yen Attraction: Mui Dien Lighthouse & Mon Beach

Journey to one of the easternmost points on Vietnam's mainland at Mui Dien (also known as Dai Lanh Cape), a stunning coastal promontory south of Tuy Hoa city in Phu Yen province. This picturesque cape is famed for its historic lighthouse, dramatic cliffside scenery, the beautiful crescent-shaped Mon Beach nestled below, and its significance as a place to witness the country's earliest sunrise. It offers a compelling combination of history, natural beauty, and breathtaking views.

The highlight for many visitors is climbing up to the Mui Dien Lighthouse, established by the French over a century ago. From the lighthouse grounds, you are rewarded with spectacular panoramic views overlooking the vast East Sea, the rugged coastline, and the pristine Bai Mon (Mon Beach) curving gently at the foot of the cape. The dramatic cliffs and crashing waves create a powerful, scenic landscape, particularly enchanting during sunrise or sunset.

Reaching Mui Dien involves a scenic drive south from Tuy Hoa. Accessing Bai Mon often requires a walk down from the cape area, but the reward is a beautiful, relatively undeveloped beach with soft sand and clear water, perfect for a swim or relaxation. Visiting Mui Dien offers not only stunning photo opportunities and coastal vistas but also a sense of reaching a significant geographical point on the Vietnamese mainland, making it a memorable stop on any Phu Yen itinerary.
